If you know anything about designing a web page, you know there are many ways to do it. There are many different programs that one can use, and each seems to have its own spin on website design. It can be a bit overwhelming. So, when you find a program that you want to try out, you prepare yourself for the worst and settle into your desk chair before accepting the “terms and conditions”. And then, you find out what really makes a site builder worthwhile.

I have used only a few programs in relation to website design, including a college course that taught HTML code. I’ll be first to tell you that it isn’t easy. I started with Dreamweaver, way back in 2005 when the internet didn’t travel through the air quite as easily as it does today. The program, to my recollection, was overly complicated. You had two methods of use, HTML code or the simple design patterns. If you had experience with the HTML code you could have all the fun you wanted. If you were like me, you just pushed things around with the click of your mouse and hoped for the best. In my opinion, it shouldn’t be that hard. Websites are so common, so useable, that when someone decides it’s time to make one of their own they should be able to do so with little or no help.

Enter programs like EasyWeb Content. These programs are amazing tools. They offer a simple layout, easy access to design features, and no messy HTML code. It’s perfect for the website newcomer. All you have to know are the basics of operating a computer, what you want your final product to be, and how to read. Even if you feel a like there is a lot to look at, the tutorial introduces you to each segment with simple instructions on what to do.

When I sat down to EasyWeb Content for the first time I felt capable of creating a web page. I know my way around a computer, can fix most issues I come across, but website design has always been out of my reach. However, EasyWeb Content didn’t make me feel so lost. It’s a simple point and click system, with a little drag and drop on the side. If I want my title to change places, I simply click a different layout or drag the title to another section. If I want a new text box, I simple click the icon and drag it to my desired location. When everything is in place I upload my pictures and add my words and voila, web page. A few pages later you have a website.

So, now you’re sitting in your desk chair wondering what you’re going to do with that whole pot of coffee, with a custom website ready to be published. What started out as a scary prospect became a simple task, and what’s not to like about that? You hit a few humps, had a little trouble making things fit right, but it wasn’t like you expected. Now you’re thinking, maybe I’ll make another.
